Do you hear that? Maybe just some birds chirping or dogs barking?
In this day and age, we don't often stop to listen to what's going on because there's so much other noise around us.
There's fire trucks and ambulances and construction. And then we have the radio or the TV playing, and all kinds of different things constantly coming into our brain. But we don't often stop and sit in silence and let our own thoughts go through our head and really think about those thoughts. So I want you to try to create mental toughness. Whether you're in your car driving, keep the radio off to go for a nice drive in silence. Let your own thoughts marinate. Or if you're at home sitting on the couch, don't turn on the TV automatically, sit in silence and think about things. Think about your day. Think about problems coming up. How can you solve those problems? If you go on a hike or if you do workout/run, don't put music in your headphones. Just listen to what's going on around you. I know it can be hard for many of you. Give it a try. Even if it's only for 5 or 10 minutes. Make it happen and I'd love to hear how it goes.
