Surfing can either be majestic and peaceful, or one of the most chaotic and turbulent moments of your life.  You can either be in the right spot and ride the face straight into a barrel, or get slammed and find out that unlike what Rob said, foam is definitely not your friend!

How you train and prepare can define what scenario you put yourself in.  Do you have the endurance to handle a long paddle and then battle 50 other guys for waves? Do you have the mobility and flexibility to contort your body into difficult positions? And do you have the mental aptitude and awareness to stay calm and composed during a two wave hold down?

If you answered no to any of the questions above, then let's begin.

Coach Jono is a Certified Functional Strength Coach and XPT WaterPro.  He grew up on the East Side of Oahu and surfed/bodyboarded throughout Hawaii.  He understands that being a good surfer/waterman you need to prepare the body and mind for whatever Mother nature throws at you.
